Last night on May 9, 2015,
TheFunkcenter staff was invited by Leon Robinson and Greg Thomas (Promoters) to Gilly's nightclub in Dayton, Ohio, to help raise awareness about our organization. President & CEO, David R.Webb spoke before a sold out audience about the vision, mission and future of the education program for TheFunkcenter.
We were well received with applause and words of encouragement. Special thanks to "The Inner City Blues Band" (last night's headliners)
for showing Mr Webb ,

CHRO/Carla Elam-Floyd. Recently completed a promotional tour out west including the great city of Colorado, Springs where we met with Shirley Martinez from the Colorado Springs Diversity Forum. While in Denver, Colorado they were welcomed by the funk group "CON-FUNK-SHUN" featuring Michael Cooper & Felton Pilate, the band was so supportive in signing our Funk center- t shirt.
The band will be performing at The Cedric Pride Entertainment Derby"15" with special guests Malik Yoba, from Empire, and local jazz band "DOTSERO" on Saturday May 2, 2015 from 1:00pm to 5:00 p.m.

Members of TheFunkcenter joined athletes, volunteers and attendees in supporting the Greater Dayton Special Olympics Saturday, April 25, 2015. Everyone braved a chilly and rainy day at Centerville High School Stadium for the regional track and field event. Special Olympics offers competition and fun in a variety of athletic games for special needs athletes.
